Trash has changed in Tuttle! Republic Services has split Tuttle into 5 zones and each zone will have their own designated trash pickup day. TEXT REMINDERS AVAILABLE FOR TRASH AND RECYCLING DAYS

The text reminder system has been set up to provide a reminder notice the evening prior to your trash and recycling day. Everyone MUST re-enroll in the text reminder system based on the color zone on the trash route map on our website and the Tuttle App. The Tuttle App will not be used for weekly trash service reminders.

To enroll for text reminders, text one of the color zones, based on where you live, to 95577:

  • Text GREENZONE if you live in the green zone;
  • Text PURPLEZONE if you live in the purple zone;
  • Text REDZONE if you live in the red zone;
  • Text BLUEZONE if you live in the blue zone; or
  • Text YELLOWZONE if you live in the yellow zone.

 

For example, text GREENZONE to 95577 if you live in the green zone.

NO DUMPING OF ANY KIND IS ALLOWED AT SCHROCK PARK OR ELSEWHERE IN THE CITY OF TUTTLE.  YOU WILL BE FINED AND ASSESSED CLEANUP COSTS.

Trash needs to be at the curb by 6 a.m. the morning the trash is to be picked up with the handle facing road. If construction is being performed in the right-of-way, containers shall be placed as close as possible to an access point for the collection vehicle. Trash service for Tuttle residents living inside the city limits is Tuesday. If your trash was missed please call Tuttle Public Works (405) 381-5902 by Wednesday at 12pm.

  • No boxes are allowed and no more than 3 (three) extra bags.
  • If you continually have extra trash you will need to have a second container.
  • Yard debris and yard clippings needs to be bagged and inside the container or it can be the 3 (three) extra bags.
  • No hazardous waste
  • No tires
  • No building materials resulting from construction, remodeling, repair or demolition.


Bulk Waste

There will be a big trash day one time per quarter with a curbside bulk pickup with a limit of 3 cubic yards per household. The bulk waste program only applies to City of Tuttle utility and trash customers.

Restrictions

  • Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners are accepted provided the Freon has been properly drained by a qualified technician, certification issued and placed on the unit. 
  • Hot water heaters will be taken only if all of the water has been drained out.
  • Brush is to be cut into 4-foot lengths, tied and bundled.
  • No concrete or rock.
  • Smaller items should be placed in containers.
  • No construction or demolition materials.
  • No hazardous waste.
  • No batteries, paints, tires, oils, or liquid substances.
  • No dead animals or carcasses.
  • No commercial waste items.
  • All bulky waste must be placed at the curb or roadside not in the road.
